Week 1...Both Sunday and Monday

I had full intentions in writing this when I got out of work yesterday.  Oh well.  Maybe next time. Anyway, Week 1 is under our belts, and win or lose, every one of our teams experienced up's and downs this week.  Personally, mine was a frustrating loss, as my team was almost able to make up for the misssing Peyton Manning and Arian Foster this week.

Sunday Adam, Danny, Ed, Rich and I went over to Franks to watch the game.  His new TV didn't fail us, and by halftime of the night game, we had all decided to go home for the day.  I don't remember much, but from what I do remember, Ed wants everyone in both the NFL and our league to suck on his dick because they are either assholes, pieces of shit, or dicks (yes, "suck on my dick you dick" was uttered at least once).  I'm sorry, that's not true, everyone except Eli Manning and Antonio Gates.  They were his niggas (and apparently his bitches too.  I don't know how that works).

I sat next to Adam in the basement, as he let me use his computer to charge my smartphone. Complete waste of time by the way.  I may have to buy a netbook or something for next weekend. The fantasy football app is too delayed to be in a room of Stattracker users.  Adam wasn't too pleased, as most of his hopes every week will rest upon Matt Ryan and Roddy White, both of whom didn't have a great game. Some weeks the doubling up works, some it doesn't.  I like to avoid it just to try and keep some kind of consistency.

I had an especially tough matchup this week, as my team had made it a close game going into Sunday night.  Kum had the Jets D, so as a Jets fan i found myself in an odd spot.  Down 7 in the 4th, the Jets blocked a Cowboys Punt and returned it for a TD.  I was home at this point, and jumped out of my seat with joy as they tied it.  Then it hit me.  That's 10 points for Kum right there.  2 for the blocked kick, 2 for the recovery, and 6 for the TD.  The frustrating things that come into play during a fantasy season.  I lost by 3 this week.  With that sick feeling I'm gonna end this post kind of abruptly.

As for Monday.  Brady threw for 500+ yards thanks to a 99 yd Welker reception, but Rich only needed 2 points to win his match-up, so it was a bit of a waste.  For me, I needed Orton to outscore Campbell by 4, which didn't happen.  I also lost both my wagers on Monday night.  A big Week 2 would help me recover there.

The Week 2 Schedule:

Dan vs Neil
Kum vs Danny
Nulty vs Rich
Frank vs Joe
Thom vs Adam
Ed vs Russ
